Sersi is an Eternal who was the daughter of Perse and Helios, thus making her Sprite and Ikaris. Created inside the Exclusion, Sersi was among the Eternals that were sent to Earth to protect humanity from the Deviants. Throughout the millenia, Sersi has been involved with numerous historic events, often accompanied by her long-time lover Makkari. Ever since she split up from her lover and the rest of her community that protected humanity for thousands of years, Sersi had been enjoying life on Earth, for which she became a flirtatious socializer, often hosting or attending parties.
After the occurrence of seismic earthquakes shaking the planet and the resurfacing of the Deviants once again, Sersi had been spending most of her time living in Algeria, helping a lot of communities, until she was found by Druig, who told her that Eternals need to reassemble to prepare for the Emergence of Tiamut. However, upon learning from the Prime Eternal Suyin King that the planet and all humanity would die in the process, she was among the Eternals that chose to stop the Emergence, averting Earth's destruction. However, Sersi was among the Eternals that were abducted by Arishem.

Creation[]
Like every Eternal, Sersi was created by the Celestials over one million years ago. Despite being created in the Exclusion under the protection of the Archive, she was chosen to be the daughter of Helios and Perse, and even becoming the cousin of Sprite and Ikaris. For eons, Sersi and her fellow Eternals would go multiple planets to protect and help evolve sentient life forms from the Deviants, powering a Celestial seed inside the planet, which would absorb the energy made from the sentient lifeforms. Eventually, the Emergence would occur, destroying the planet in the process. Upon finishing their mission, the Eternals would be sent back to the Exclusion to have almost all their memories erased and reset.

Upon living on Earth, Sersi become more involved in the world of humans, such as taking a likening over mankind. For thousands of years, Sersi had fallen in love with Makkari, but had ended their relationship many times. Despite her easy-going attitude, Sersi has risen to the occasion when necessary, including sacrificing herself for the sake of all life on Earth. Upon learning that Earth was going to be destroyed during the Emergence of Tiamut, Sersi refused to go along with this due to her love for humanity and chose to go against everything that the Celestials instructed her and the other Eternals to do thousands of years ago.

- Eternal Physiology: By design from the Celestials, Sersi is an Eternal possessing superhuman strength, durability, speed, agility, stamina, reflexes, and healing, numerous times superior than any normal human being, as well as immortality and being able to manipulate cosmic energy to a certain degree.
- Regenerative Healing Factor: While being physically harmed by some extreme force, Sersi's metabolism enables her to rapidly regenerate damaged bodily tissue with far greater speed and efficiency than any normal human being. Sersi once reconstructed her own arm after it was disintegrated by a Deviant weapon.
- Immortality: Sersi is genetically able to live forever, without dying due to old age or illnesses.
- Cosmic Energy Manipulation: By design of the Celestials, all Eternals are genetically capable of using cosmic energy. Each Eternal possesses a unique ability, all derived from the same cosmic power source.
- Telepathy: Sersi can psychically communicate, read minds, and project her thoughts into other people.
- Illusions: Sersi is highly skilled in the use of creating illusions. Her illusions affect all five senses and are virtually indistinguishable from the 'real thing'. Sersi had been using one of her illusions on the Deviants that had been attacking Earth.
- Telekinesis: Sersi has the ability to mentally move and manipulate objects, living creatures, and fly. While preventing the Emergence from happening, Sersi used her telekinesis to hurl rocks towards Atlo, Druig, Akpaxa, and Eramis.
- Flight: As a byproduct of telekinesis, Sersi can fly at high speeds, being able to attain velocities up to 760mph. She used her ability to fight off Atlo.
- Cosmic Energy Projection: Sersi is able to project blasts of cosmic energy from her hands or eyes, in the form of light, heat, or concussive force. While standing with her fellow Eternals that chose to prevent the Emergence, Sersi used her cosmic energy against the ones that chose to support, even using against Atlo.
- Image Projection: Sersi is also able to project scenes from her mind, allowing others to visualize her thoughts.
- Teleportation: Sersi is also capable of teleporting herself and others across vast distances although she finds doing so unpleasant.
