Joseph Alexander Rodriguez is the husband of T'Challa Rodriguez and the father of Nonhle and Khanyiswa Rodriguez. The son-in-law of T'Chaka and Ramonda Udaku and the brother-in-law of Shuri Udaku. He, along with his husband and daughters, took up the mantle of Black Panther, leading their family to be nicknamed the "Panther Family".
Backstory[]
Joseph was born in the USA, in New York City during the year of 1980. In the year 2000, he met T'Challa while he was staying with the Avengers after being rescued from HYDRA, and the two instantly sparked a connection. They dated for a couple years before Joseph proposed. On that day, his fiancé trusted him with the secret of Wakanda and the Black Panther. Joseph kept his word and never spoke of it to anyone without T'Challa's expressed permission.
Three years after they got married, T'Challa got pregnant and the family moved to Malibu, California, where T'Challa gave birth to their first child, Nonhle Noxolo Rodriguez. Five years after Nonhle was born, T'Challa gave birth to another daughter, Khanyiswa Nontle Rodriguez.
When their daughters were ten and five years old respectively, T'Challa gave the four of them, the Hear-Shaped Herb and trained them to become the Black Panther. With Shuri's help, the family of four became the Panther Family and protected Malibu from crime. They eventually joined the Avengers, as a thank-you for them saving T'Challa.
